The American Brewhouse King

In 2018, Burger King and Anheuser-Busch announced a co-branded initiative for the Fourth of July. Enter the American Brewhouse King, in all of its meaty, cheesy, American glory; slathered with Budweiser Tavern Sauce. Pair it with the Freedom Reserve Red Lager and you have yourself quite the Independence day.

 

The creative development for this partnership began with the product logo and burger wrap, which I led the design and art direction for. The packaging served as the cornerstone for what turned into arguably the most American campaign ever, complete with sparklers, flame grilling, and red, white and blue everything.

 

Unfortunately this was a significantly limited time offer, even by QSR standards, but it was super fun for franchisees and wildly successful overall. I think I speak for the entire country when I say we’re hoping that means we get to see it again!
